Who we are

The Forex Broker List publishes independent reviews and comparisons of forex brokers at theforexbrokerlist.com. You can reach us through our contact form, which is the fastest way to get a reply.

What we collect

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and how people arrive. It sets cookies in your browser and records your approximate location (derived from your IP address and not stored by us at full precision), the pages you view, the referring site, and general device and browser information.

We do not use this to identify you personally, and we do not combine it with anything else. Our measurement ID is G-9DP3VEBS7P. You can opt out for every site using Google's browser add-on, or block cookies for this domain in your browser settings.

When you contact us

Our forms are relayed by a third-party service, formsubmit.co, because this website is static and has no server of its own to receive them. What you type in the form - including your name and email address - passes through that service to reach our inbox. We keep the message for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up.

We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or share what you send us.

Outbound links to brokers

Links to brokers may carry a tracking parameter that identifies us as the referrer. If you open an account after following one, the broker may pay us a commission - see how we make money. The broker, not us, decides what it then collects about you, and its own privacy policy applies from the moment you land there.

What we do not do

• We do not have user accounts, so we do not store passwords or profiles.
• We do not sell anything on this site, so we do not handle payment details.
• We do not run advertising networks or retargeting pixels.
• We do not sell, rent or trade personal information to anyone.

Cookies

The only cookies this site sets are Google Analytics' own. They are used to tell a returning visit apart from a new one and to measure how a session progresses. Blocking them stops us counting your visit; nothing else on the site depends on them.

A cookie consent banner is not yet in place across our sites. It is being built, and this page will be updated when it is.

Legal basis and your rights

Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies to you, our lawful basis for analytics is legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used, and for correspondence it is our legitimate interest in replying to you.

You have the right to:

• ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy;
• ask us to correct it if it is wrong;
• ask us to delete it;
• object to our processing it, including analytics;
• complain to your data protection authority.

To exercise any of these, send us a request through the contact form. In practice, for most visitors the only data we hold is anonymous analytics that cannot be traced back to you - if you have never contacted us, there is very likely nothing to find.

Data transfers and retention

Google Analytics and formsubmit.co are operated outside Australia, so data handled by them may be processed overseas under their own safeguards. We keep analytics data for the 14-month default retention period in GA4, and correspondence for as long as the enquiry remains relevant.

Children

This site is intended for adults considering a trading account. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be noted here rather than made quietly.
